Jack Robins Archery Competition

The annual Cub archery competition continues this year as usual.
New for 2023 : Archery challenge for Scouts.
Both competitions are for Wansdyke District members only.
Qualifiers: Run by a qualified Archery leader holding a Scout permit.
The Cubs/Scouts will be allowed 3 practice arrows (sighters) to get their eye in. More may be allowed if that archer did not hit the target.
There will be at least 2 ends of 3 arrows, giving 6 scoring arrows.
*Some Sections may have time to run more ends.
Metric scoring will be used 1 to 10. See target below.
The top 2 scoring archers will represent their Pack/Troop in the District final on Saturday the 2nd December at Keynsham Scout HQ. Cubs AM, Scouts PM.
At the final there is a trophy for the winner plus medals for the top 3 archers and certificates for all finalists.
For those sections who would like me to organise qualifying shoots at their meeting night, please let me know ASAP so that I can book you in and arrange for an Archery leader to run a session for you. Qualifiers from Sept to Dec.
Qualifying rules:
• Archery GB rules apply.
• Open to Cubs & Scouts of Wansdyke District only.
• Equipment supplied.
• Metric scoring will be used 1-10.
• One end (3 arrows) of sighters.
• Two scoring ends*.
• If a draw then Golds decide winner.
