Folks,

For those of you that are not already aware, it is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Jim Arthur, a Scouter in this District for many, many years.

Jim, along with his late wife Jean, was the ‘heartbeat’ of 1st Midsomer Norton Scout Group for over 30 years, undertaking every role that was needed, but mostly for his total commitment and enthusiasm for his beloved Scout Group. He was a larger than life character who was both loyal and a stalwart supporter of the young people of the area.

The Arthur family invite you to join them to celebrate Jim Arthur’s life at a memorial service on Thursday 25th April at 11.30am at St. Johns Church, 42 Priory Close, Midsomer Norton, BA3 2HZ followed by cremation at Haycombe Crematorium, 209, Whiteway Road, Bath, BA2 2RQ.

Please share

Jim was a big part of the community, Midsomer Norton’s Scout leader for 30 years. It will be great to see lots of people there. An amazing Dad, Grandad, Great Grandad and friend. He will be greatly missed.
